Media Statement – Senator Dastyari Resignation

I have received a letter of resignation from Senator Sam Dastyari as a Senator for New South Wales.  The resignation takes effect immediately.

 

I will shortly be writing to the Governor of New South Wales to inform him of this vacancy, which will be filled in accordance with Section 15 of the Constitution.
