The Hon Scott Ryan, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education, will this evening meet the recipients of the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships at a dinner at the National Gallery of Australia.
The Endeavour Dinner will profile the 32 Australian recipients and welcome guests from across the international education, government and diplomatic sectors.
“This elite group of Endeavour Scholarship and Fellowship recipients represent some of the best and brightest postgraduates of Australian higher education,” Senator Ryan said.
“The recipients represent institutions from seven states and territories, undertaking study or research in a diverse range of fields including community health, epidemiology, law and architecture.
“These high-achieving students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the academic and social cultures of other countries by undertaking international study and research experience.
“The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships illustrate the Australian Government’s commitment to support outbound mobility at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level and build deep and enduring education and professional links between Australia and the world.
“International education is Australia’s third largest export industry and these scholarships and fellowship strengthen Australia’s international education sector and enhance Australia’s reputation as a quality education provider,” Senator Ryan said.
