The Special Minister of State, Senator the Hon Scott Ryan, has today announced a new appointment at the Australian Electoral Commission.
Warwick Austin has been appointed the Australian Electoral Officer for New South Wales.
Mr Austin is currently the acting Australian Electoral Officer and State Manager for NSW. He was previously Director – Operations and Assistant Australian Electoral Officer for NSW during the 2016 federal election.
Mr Austin has held senior positions in the public and private sectors and served in the Australian Army for more than 30 years.
“Mr Austin brings considerable knowledge and experience to the role of Australian Electoral Officer for NSW and I welcome his appointment,” Minister Ryan said.
